MOUJEN ELECTRIC CO.

Many machines in use today incorporate functions that are controlled electronically.  A common name for these products can fall under the umbrella “CNC” machines – standing for “computer numerical control”.  Stated simply, the computer reads “code” and tells the machine what to do.  If the machine is a drilling machine, for instance, the software dictates where the holes are to be drilled, what size, etc. and the machine takes care of the process.  For reasons of safety and reliability, these machines can require the use of limit switches to act in a monitoring role.  The correct selection of a switch is directly related to the efficiencies of the equipment in operation.

Moujen provides a number of unique solutions to these requirements.  Our product offering covers the smallest of control switches, known as snap or micro-switches, to the larger industrial control switches known as oil-tight limit switches.

Each series of Moujen products covers the important requirements shown above.  If there is a need to consult with an engineer to ensure the “best” fit for your application, please do not hesitate to contact our technical department.  Limit switches are used in a broad range of applications, many of which are unique, and impose their own set of variables.  Applications requiring safety-related, or critical performance needs, can also be addressed by Moujen.  Our latest product addition, the M8 Series, allows for positive opening contacts in situations where de-activating the machine is a necessity.  This is a set of contacts which are connected to the switch actuator via a rigid mechanical linkage.  Switches with positive opening contacts directly couple actuator force to the contacts so that the force breaks open even a welded contact.  Although the mechanism may contain springs, it does not rely on the spring action alone to open the contact.  This product is in compliance with IEC/EN 60947 covering “positive opening contacts”.
